The dance forms offered include Ballet, Modern, Creative Ballet, Creative movement, Creative dance, Modern, Soft shoe tap, and Caribbean dance including Salsa and Merenque which may vary from week to week.

Just Dance Component:
Pre- ballet/ Ballet/Creative, modern, Salsa/ Caribbean introduce students to the basic vocabulary while integrating play, locomotor movements, students’ interaction with props to encourage agility, flexibility, coordination, musicality, rhythm, range of motion, etc. Students have opportunities to discover their movement potential. They are challenged to execute movements and develop creative thinking skills along the way. As students move into the next level the focus is more on developing the fundamentals of classical ballet technique, increasing vocabulary, becoming more self-discipline and striving for grace, poise and technique. Download our  schedule for the dance component. For more details, click here.

This year's summer DanceCare will run morning and afternoon, Mondays through Fridays.

Immerse your child in this enriching, caring home experience that offers, along with childcare(tax deductible), dance training combined with developing and maintaining literacy skills and divergent thinking for the next school year, reading, writing, creative theater for TV production, percussion, computer literacy through learning activities, and lots more.

DanceCare is one of the best childcare services for children who love to move and also want to improve their academic skills. Which child does not like to move? Which child does not need structured and unstructured movement to stay healthy and develop gross motor and technical skills?

Flora whose experience came from a family of garment manufacturing in the Caribbean was greatly influenced by her father eye for great details and lines that is also reflected in her dancing.
This will cost an additional $30.00 per child for materials. See weekly DanceCare fees here.

Things to Bring:

_packed lunch
_shoe for hiking in the woods (We'll let participants know the days in advance ) can be packed, if students regularly uses sandals.
_dance clothing ( if you are buying anything, buy white or light pink tights and black or sky blue leotard. Other colors are fine.
_light pink ballet shows (not bedroom slippers that target sells.) They look light ballet slippers but they are not. They have no support for the foot and kids can twist their ankle easily)

Though the program is semi - structured, I pay attention to the kid's frame of mind each day, recognize their individual needs and reorganize activities as necessary to enable all children to benefit and grow to their maximum potential.

This enrichment summer for your child is at your fingertip. Simply register for one or more weeks, up to seven weeks or just register for the dance component. Keep in mind that the dance component all by itself is not tax-deductible.
